                    This silver halfgroat was struck during the reign of Edward IV (1464-1483) at the Canterbury Mint by Archbishop Bourchier. It  showcases the exquisite craftsmanship of the era, with sharp details and well-preserved surfaces. Minted during a turbulent period of the Wars of the Roses, this hammered halfgroat features the  crowned bust of Edward IV and the "CAN" for Cantuerbury on the reverse.
